AMANDA O'BANNON
Director and Teacher

"Miss Amanda” has taught Musikgarten to young children and their parents for over ten years. Her years of piano study as a child were followed by glee club, madrigal and choral experience, including a year in the Bach Choir of Paris and at St. John the Divine Cathedral in New York City.

After graduation from Harvard, she studied drama and voice before moving to Cincinnati to marry and have two children. With her children, Henry and Lucy, she attended her first Musikgarten class and became interested in this music and movement program when she witnessed how much it affected her youngest child. In 1998, she began teaching Musikgarten and received her training in Musikgarten for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. She also completed her Level 1 Orff Certification at CCM.

In the fall of 2002, she started Miss Amanda’s Music Garden. In a delightful space at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Clifton, Miss Amanda teaches Monday through Thursday.
